The touchcric

Overview

Touch cricket, also known by its full name, limited overs cricket, is a variant of the sport of cricket which is popular in many countries around the world. It is a shortened, simplified version of the game, typically played on a smaller field with a smaller ball, making it more suitable for indoor or recreational use. The basic rules of touchcric cricket are the same as those of traditional cricket, with a few exceptions. In touchcric cricket, a batter can only score runs by hitting the Ball over the boundary line rather than between the wickets. In addition, there is no need for a bowler to complete an entire over, and the game can be completed in as little as ten overs. Touchcric cricket is a great way to get introduced to cricket or play a simplified version of the game when traditional cricket is impossible. It is also a popular form of recreation for adults and children alike.

How to Play Cricket

Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a cricket field, at the centre of which is a rectangular 22-yard-long pitch with a target, called the Wicket, at each end. Each team takes turns to Bat, attempting to score runs, while the other team fields. Each turn is known as an innings. The object of the game is to score more runs than the opponent. The team with the more significant number of runs at the end of the match wins. If the team batting last is all out, the other team wins. Cricket is believed to have originated in southern England in the late 16th century. It became popular in northern England and the Midlands and was exported to the colonies in the 18th century. The sport is now widespread in over 120 countries. Cricket is a complex sport with vast terminology. The following is a basic introduction to the game: The cricket field is a large, rectangular area with a 22-yard-long pitch at the centre. The rise is marked with two white lines, one at either end. The “crease” is the line at the end of the pitch. There are three other lines on the rise – the “popping crease” is the pipe behind the Wicket, the “sideline” is the line running alongside the bank, and the “long-stop line” is the line at the back of the field. The Wicket The Wicket is the target at each end of the pitch. It is made up of three wooden stumps, 18 inches tall, and two wooden bails, 6 inches long. The stumps are placed in the ground, with the bails balanced on top. The Bat The Bat is a wooden bat with a flat surface. It is approximately 36 inches long and comprises two parts – the handle and the blade. The handle is made of cane, rubber, or plastic, and the blade is made of willow. The Ball The Ball is a complex, round, leather ball. It is about 2.5 inches in diameter and is made of cork, rubber, or plastic. The Scoring System In cricket, the aim is to score more runs than the opponent. A run is achieved when the batsman hits the Ball and runs to the opposite end of the pitch before a fielder returns the Ball. A batter can also score a run by running between the wickets. The next batsman comes in to take their place when a batter is out. The team with the more significant number of runs at the end of the match wins. The following are the most common ways a batter can be out:

• Bowled – when the bowler hits the stumps with the Ball and knocks the bails off.

• Caught – when a fielder catches the Ball after the batsman has hit it.

 • Leg before Wicket (lbw) – when the batsman is hit on the leg by the Ball, and the umpire decides that he would have been out if he had been playing a shot.

• Stumped – when the batsman steps out of his crease and the wicket-keeper knocks the bails off with the Ball.

• Run out – when a fielder throws the Ball to the wicket-keeper, and the batsman is out of his crease. The following are the most common ways a fielder can get a batter out:

• Caught – when a fielder catches the Ball after the batsman has hit it.

• Run out – when a fielder throws the Ball to the wicket-keeper, and the batsman is out of his crease.
